• Jetpacks Big Bang Mini -Chernobyl (.5 gram Infused Preroll)

So this is the story of how I walked into Black Market Canna and said, and I quote, “I’m not afraid.”

  • Ravens View Genetics – Kashmir (2 x .5 gram Pre-Rolls)

I’m a sucker for land-race strains. I dunno what it is about them that gets to me but it really tickles my fancy. I guess it’s seeing where cannabis came from, almost like smoking an archaeology trip. Seeing the beginnings of something is often the best way of understanding the progression of things and, boy howdy has cannabis progressed. While even land-races are susceptible to selective breeding (i.e. picking the strongest, the prettiest, the most productive), they still are genetic precursors to a lot of the strains we have today because the idea of genetics and cross-breeding just…wasn’t thought of back then. It was just…cannabis, nothing special, just a crop to use and enjoy. So I guess it’s the simpler genetics and historical terroir that I like. That being said, let’s get to business on how the Ravens View Genetics land-race stacks up to some of the others that I’ve had.

  • Puff – Alien OG ( 1 gram Pre-roll)

This was a sample provided to me by PUFF.

Been going through my backlog of editorial considerations and came across this one decanted and ready in a humidity controlled jar. I’d heard good things about PUFF being economical but decent so I wanted to see for myself. These were provided to me by PUFF at a recent Revelry. Let’s find out how it did!

  • Supernaturals – Lifter (2 x .75g Pre-Rolls)

Note: This sample was provided by Supernaturals.

I got this at a recent Revelry and was pretty enthralled by it. Mostly, I’m not the type of person that can smoke FULL pre-rolls of pure flower. As I’ve discussed in my “Review Methods” page, I take apart all pre-rolls and decant them into jars to titrate a dose as needed. But with a THC content this low, I could…in theory…enjoy half a pre-roll and put it out. Y’know, like a normal consumer. I’m reviewing this one as a spliff but let’s see whether I found my new huckleberry in terms of actually burning a whole pre-roll down all by my lonesome.

  • Skyworld – Garlic Gravity (Two .5 gram Pre-rolls)

SAMPLE PROVIDED TO ME BY SKYWORLD.

So, I’m Italian-American. I’m going to be harping on this a lot in this review so bear with me. I love me some garlic, probably more than the usual person. My favorite? Pickled garlic. Eat ’em like candy (when I can eat pickled things). Roasted garlic, fresh garlic, no canned garlic, fried garlic, all things garlic I love. So when I was given a sample called Garlic Gravity by Skyworld…a little part of my soul healed. I was so jazzed for it. A cannabis strain that tastes like garlic AND gets me high? My little Tony Soprano heart could barely contain itself.

But was it worth the hype? Let’s see!

  • Flowerhouse – Permanent Marker (3.5 grams)

I love Permanent Marker. Like a lot. I tried a bootleg version of it shipped in from Cali that I got at a festival awhile back and ever since then, I pick it up every time a dispensary offers it or a grower grows it. I just really like it. It’s a good indica that doesn’t wallop me. So when I went into Black Market Canna and they had this for $20 out the door, I was BEYOND stoked. But will it live up to the hype that is Permanent marker? Let’s see…

  • What I Learned At Hall Of Flowers NYC 2025

Being disabled often means making lemons into lemonade, so I’m used to it. Hell, I’ve got to the point that I’m making limoncello, lemon soap, candied lemon peel, whatever. Life gives me lemons…I don’t waste them. I extract all the value I can get out of life as best I can. And, in the case of Hall of Flowers, I did the same thing.

  • What I Learned At Revelry Buyers’ Club (Fall, NYC, 2025)

Whew, it’s been a whirlwind since I went to Revelry Buyers’ Club on the 12th of September. Apologies for being so late on this but I had to do a week’s worth of ertapenem infusions to combat the infection I’ve had for the past five years. I managed to stabilize myself to go but it took a toll on me that only hospital stays could correct.

    *Ahem*

I love going to trade events because it’s the easiest way to learn how little I know. I’m not saying this because it’s a bad thing, far from it. The less I know, the more I get to learn and baby, I LOVE learning. From the grand schemes of things to the minute details, I love learning the ins and outs of things. It’s the engineer in me; it just craves knowledge. And boy howdy did I learn a lot at this Revelry Buyers’ Club. I attended on the 12th, the industry day, as I couldn’t deal with the crowds on the 13th for the festival due to my illness. My body only let me do about 5 hours of pure, unfettered wandering before it kinda crapped out but in those five hours…I learned so much. So, so much. So, as is tradition, I present to you: What I Learned at Revelry Buyers’ Club, updated for the Fall of 2025 NYC event. Let’s jump in, shall we?

  • Smyth Cannabis – Pinky’s Advice (1 g Pre-Roll)

I’ve had Pinky’s Advice before and I liked it. It was a good sativa, not too heady, not too panicky, not too worrisome. So when I saw that Smyth Cannabis was growing it, I was enthused. Good strain? Check. Great brand? Checkaroo. So I picked it up. Simple as that, really. Anyway, here’s the review.

  • The Pass – Snowcaine (1 g Pre-roll)

Lately, I’ve been defaulting to sativas. It’s not that I don’t like indicas, far from it. I LOVE indicas and indica leaning hybrids. But the problem is, while it works for pain…it makes me useless. I consume it and suddenly I’m waking up from a two hour nap that just kinda…happened. So, I’ve been sticking with sativas/sativa hybrids to find something to help me with my anxiety et. al., all while remaining a functional human being. I was recommended this strain by the budtender at The Pass and I figured I’d give it a whirl. Notes are as follows.
