This was a sample provided to me by PUFF.

Been going through my backlog of editorial considerations and came across this one decanted and ready in a humidity controlled jar. I’d heard good things about PUFF being economical but decent so I wanted to see for myself. These were provided to me by PUFF at a recent Revelry. Let’s find out how it did!
Strain name: Alien OG
Strain type: Hybrid (50:50)
Percentage: 27.08%
Date of production: N/A
Date of testing (if applicable): N/A
Where Purchased (if applicable): Editorial Consideration
Price (if applicable): Editorial Consideration
Amount smoked: 1 gram
Grind (if applicable): Medium to fine grind. Very fine granules mixed in with some larger, but not by much, tidbits. No stems visible at all.
Aroma: I swear to everything I get coconut. I dunno how…but I do.
Taste: Taste is nothing to write home about. I barely noticed it in the spliff. It’s slightly sweet/sour with a tinge of pungency but other than that fairly flat.
High: This is…okay. The high doesn’t have much going for it in terms of nuance. I’m not overly excited and giggly, nor am I bedridden and lethargic. It’s pretty solidly middle-of-the-road hybrid. But nothing jumps out at me that makes me go “Oooh, interesting”. I’m high and can do things but the indica in it just makes me wanna take a nap. Like I said before, it’s…okay.
This one is a tough one. On one hand, the high isn’t the most fantastic. Don’t get me wrong, it will get you high. If that’s just what you want, then this stuff will work for you. But I didn’t find too much to write home about with this strain. It does it’s job but not in any special way. And at the price I’m seeing for the New York market, it’s not super competitive for the money either, as it ranges from $11-$13 a pre-roll (less if you buy their .5 gram x 5 packs). Would I get it again? I wouldn’t actively seek it out, no, but that’s just me. Maybe mine was old or something. Regrettably, for some of the samples I’ve been doing I mistakenly threw away the tubes/vials before I could write down all the information which is why some of them have “N/A” for date of production/testing. But it looked and felt fine (darker green with an appropriate RH%) so I dunno. If I can get a chance, I’ll either revisit it or try some more of Puff to get a better glimpse of the product line.
