I’m cheap, I’ll admit it. Well, it’s a little more complicated than that. I’m on a fixed income so a lot of my purchases are dictated by the necessity to keep things on the less expensive end of the spectrum to make my money go further. It sucks having to cheap out on what is essentially, for me, a medicine but here we are. So when I learned that The Kolektor came to Grounded, a brand that I’d been following for a LONG time on Instagram, I was torn. I wanted to try it. Like…really bad. But $62 total for an eighth was well out of my normal budget. But I wanted to try it SO bad that I decided to do without a few things this month just so I could pick it up. Was it worth it, though?

Aroma: This is, by far, the DANKEST cannabis I have ever bought. It smells incredible, like basil and sweet limoncello. Very heavy vibes to it. But the sheer tenacity of the smell is the most impressive. It has been stinking up my room, emanating from my grinder like some sort of fresh-baked pie sitting on a windowsill.
Taste: It tastes like burnt tires and lemon rinds with a HINT of sweetness on the end.
High: The high on this one is pretty incredible. At first, I was having a hard time dialing in the dosage and it was putting me to sleep but once I really sat down and tinkered with it…it’s very good. Like…really good. It’s not an all-the-time high, this is a high that you save for when you really need it. It’s pretty heavy and weighty, really slows you and your brain down. It can cause some sleepiness, too. But it’s VERY mellow and casual. You won’t be getting much done on it but whatever you do, you will be infinitely zen about.
So this is some special stuff and really kinda reinforces the whole “$60 an eighth” thing for me. I was hesitant at first to believe it but I get it now. I truly do. This is -the- best weed I’ve bought from a store to date. The quality is absolutely rock solid for the price. The genetics are THERE. It’s a great high, even if it is a bit situational for me, it smells incredible, it looks incredible, it feels incredible. Everything about it just…nails it. I’m definitely looking forward to trying more of what The Kolektor has in store because if it’s anything like this stuff…I’m sold. I’m very much looking forward to trying EVERYTHING they got, even if I have to blow my monthly budget to do it. It’s that worth it.
